Daoyin Tao  Practitioner Training

Daoyin Tao® is a harmonious synergy of traditional Chinese Philosophies and stylised Western massage techniques.

This therapy focuses on the face, neck, shoulders, scalp and ears.  Daoyin Tao® has a solid reputation for assisting recipients in enjoying healing and improvement for conditions not only on the contact area, but throughout the whole body.  In addition, Daoyin Tao® works on all levels and meets the recipient at their place of need by dealing with the cause of the dis-harmony and dis-ease.   Once experienced, Daoyin Tao® makes a lasting impression which means recipients and Practitioners truly appreciate why Feeling is Believing!

In April 2008, Judith became one of only three registered Daoyin Tao® teachers, and is now able to offer Practitioner Training courses in Daoyin Tao®.  In Autumn 2008, she will be co-teaching 2 courses with Helen Richardson, in Gateshead or Whitby.

Course Format

Our training format brings many benefits to our students and will help you to enjoy the course and progress throughout. We require a minimum of 6 students per course and class numbers are kept to a maximum of 10 to ensure your best learning experience.

Some of the benefits include:

  • Start at any time and study at your own pace
  • Enrolment deadlines of one month prior to Module 2 attendance ensure that you have sufficient time to complete the Foundation Module
  • Every student is assigned a Mentor who is there to guide and support you throughout the course
  • By attending two sessions of intensive training you can avoid the usual daily distractions, therefore allowing you to thoroughly explore and enjoy your learning time
  • A gap of several weeks between Practitioner Development Modules 1 & 2 is allowed to enable a number of case studies to be completed so that you become competent in the practical before the final assessment

 The course consists of:

Module 1 – Foundation Level                                         Home Study

  • A comprehensive study manual set out in five clearly written sections to introduce and guide you through the main theory topics
  • This module requires approx. 15 -20 hours of study      For each section there is a ‘Knowledge Builder’ which serves to monitor your progress as you complete and return each one to your mentor for review
  • This module must be completed prior to attending Module 2 – Practitioner Developme

Module 2 – Practitioner Development                               In-class

  •  A 3 day in-class attendance, followed by a further 2 days in class after several weeks, supported by a comprehensive manual and mentor
  •   Foundation Module theory is reviewed and then enhanced
  • This knowledge is then applied as part of the practical skill development
  •  You will learn the full Daoyin Tao® techniques and sequence as a major component of this module
  • On-going assessment of both practical and theoretical aspects of the course features in Module 2
  •  Additional topics include an Introduction to Chinese Face Reading for Health, Promotional Skills and Getting Started with Daoyin Tao®
  • The final day of this Module includes a practical assessment with one of our external examiners

Module 3 – Case Studies                                             Independent Work

  •  Students are required to complete 4 treatments with 4 different volunteers following Module 2, Part 1; these will be brought to Part 2 to be assessed
  • These treatments are intended to demonstrate the application of theory and practical skills as taught

Graduation

Upon successful completion of all 3 modules students are awarded the Daoyin Tao® Diploma.
